Tuesday Leaderboard Changes Don’t Affect the Big Blue Caught Monday

While 212 of the 282 registered boats fishing today did change the leaderboard, none of
the fish weighed challenged the 929.5 blue marlin, still worth $4.4 million, that was caught Monday on the Barbara B out of Atlantic Beach, NC. The Special Situation out of Ocean City, MD brought in a white marlin that measured 72 inches with a 70 inch minimum length but missed the 70 pound minimum weight by 3 pounds.
The leaderboard changes were in the tuna division, where the Mama C out of Virginia Beach, VA, weighed a 95-pound tuna caught by Tommy Farella from New Smyrna, FL, and is now worth just under $2 million. The Release out of Hatteras, NC, weighed a 55-pound yellowfin caught by Tim Robins from Grasonville, MD, worth $ 50,000 as of now.
It is a long week, as the tournament runs through Sunday, and leaderboard changes will happen. After today, with 212  boats fishing, there are still over 500 boat fishing days left.
