What a Difference a Day Makes

Day three of the 52nd WMO saw millions of dollars change hands by the tip of the Harbour Island scale. The first fish weighed today was a qualifying 72-pound white marlin caught off the Billfisher out of Ocean City, MD, and took over $4 million from the
929.5-pound blue marlin that was caught on Monday off the Barbara B. As of now, the 72-pound white marlin caught by Dan Gough, also from Ocean City, Maryland, is worth $4.2 million. That fish dropped the Barbara B’s winnings to $1.2 million for their big
blue. The tuna division also saw changes today. The Mama C out of Virginia Beach, VA weighed a 95-pound yellowfin caught by Tommy Farella from New Smyrna Beach, FL. on Tuesday, that held on to first place and is worth $786,000. The No Limit out
of Indian River, DE weighed 92.5 pound bluefin today caught by Danny Bardzik from Baltimore, MD and is currently worth $162,411. The Don’t Ask also out of Indian River DE, weighed a 61-pound yellowfin today and is now worth $81,513.00.
The fish was caught by Dean Stine from Mohnton, PA. There are still 4 days left for boats to fish. 128 boats fished on Monday, 212 boats fished on Tuesday, and 143 fished today. That leaves 363 boat fishing days to be used over the next 4 days.
